Nicole Spicer

Nicole Spicer is a dedicated family law attorney with a passion for helping clients navigate complex legal matters during challenging times. Nicole realizes that the complexities of family law are not limited just to legal expertise, but also to a need for compassion and empathy. Nicole is experienced in divorce, legal separation, child custody, child support, UCCJEA jurisdictional issues, and DCFS appeals. Nicole is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients while prioritizing their well-being. Nicole is skilled in negotiation and litigation, offering strategic advice and advocacy in court. If you ask Nicole what qualities are most important when choosing a family lawyer she would say “responsiveness and transparency.” Nicole respects that clients’ lives are in upheaval and being responsive and clear can help smooth the process.

Nicole is licensed in both Illinois and Indiana, and works regularly in Cook and Will County in Illinois, and Lake and Porter County in Indiana. Nicole is actively involved with the Indiana State Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. Nicole began her career in family law working with the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, which provided legal representation for domestic abuse survivors who did not have the financial means of their own for legal help. She continues to advocate for those whose voices are not always represented, including children. Nicole is a trained Guardian ad Litem (“GAL”), appearing on the approved GAL list for Will County, Illinois and is a registered member on the newly created Indiana GAL registry.

During her personal time Nicole enjoys doting on her four (!) dogs, figuring out where her teen children are at that moment, and trying to best her husband in Yahtzee. Having come from a creative background in Theatre, Nicole was excited to become a board member for the Towle Theatre in Hammond, Indiana in 2025 and continues to support the creative arts community.
