Kyla Gauthier-Vaughan

Kyla Gauthier-Vaughan recognizes that clients come to her during some of the most challenging times in their lives and is committed to providing guidance, support, and advocacy every step of the way. Ms. Gauthier-Vaughan is a member of the Illinois Bar and has focused her legal career and practice in the area of family law. Kyla received her Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law. She earned her undergraduate degree from Illinois State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. While in law school, Kyla served two years as a law clerk at Taradash Given, gaining hands-on experience in a wide range of family law matters and developing a strong understanding of the firm’s client-centered approach. Prior to joining the firm as a clerk, Kyla served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Thomas V. Lyons in the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County, where she gained valuable insight into courtroom procedure and judicial decision-making.

Kyla focuses her practice exclusively on family law, including divorce, allocation of parental responsibilities, parenting time, child support, and other domestic relations matters. She is dedicated to protecting her clients’ interests while remaining mindful of the emotional and practical realities involved—particularly where children are concerned. While Kyla strives to resolve matters efficiently through negotiation and settlement when possible, she is well prepared to advocate for her clients in court when litigation is necessary.

Coming from a complex family dynamic herself, Kyla brings a level of empathy that allows clients to feel understood and supported, while never losing sight of their legal rights or long term goals. She is committed to guiding her clients through some of the most challenging moments of their lives with integrity, strength, and care.

Kyla grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, where she still lives. She loves spending time with friends and family, staying active, and spoiling her four fur babies.
